Training

Young Foundations is firmly committed to the training and development of each member of staff in line with the National Care Standards, and to respond with flexibility to the variety of needs within our service.

Young Foundations has a very strong Training and Development infrastructure which fully reflects its Investors in People accreditation. Care staff are required to achieve their NVQIII in Caring for Children and Young People.

All new staff receive an initial structured induction, followed by regular supervision for the next six months, and monthly support thereafter. All new staff are also required to undertake further core training within the first six months of their probationary period.

Young Foundations' staff have access to a range of training programmes where we use both internal and external trainers and tutors. Training available to our residential staff includes:
