"we strive for stability, calm and a feeling of security and safety for the child"
What we do
Young Foundations offers residential support, transition services and fostering placements for young people, who may or may not have a learning disability.
The social model of disability is used, alongside on-call multi-disciplinary teams who are as involved as the young persons needs require. This means that medical help is available if it is needed, along with educational support.
Young Foundation' focus is in line with the outcomes that matter most to children and young people:
Being healthy - enjoying good physical and mental health and living a healthy lifestyle
Staying Safe - being protected from harm and neglect
Enjoying and achieving - getting the most out of life and developing the skills for adulthood
Making a positive contribution - being involved with the community and society and not engaging in anti-social or offending behaviour
Economic wellbeing - not being prevented by economic disadvantage from achieving their full potential in life
