Understanding Young People
Young Foundations placements can be for short term crisis resolution
through to long term developmental care. Length of placement is
directly related to the needs of the young person. The ultimate
goal of Young Foundations is to provide our young people with the
stability they need, return them to a family setting, give them
back their independence and allow them to put their past behind
them.

Many of them have huge learning gaps because they have not been
at school. As well as providing them with the one-to-one care they
need, Young Foundations provides on-site educational support and
organised activities that play a huge part in getting their lives
back on track.
For children and young people experiencing crisis, Young Foundations
can provide a safe haven that can act as a positive platform for
reflection, reappraisal and new initiatives. For young people with
complex needs, a stay at a Young Foundations home can establish
an optimistic framework from which new and positive outcomes can
be expected.
Multi-disciplinary teams deliver tailored support which is child-centred,
therapeutic and needs led. Central to this is a team of frontline
carers who care and deliver therapeutic and educational programmes.
Around them is a team of clinicians providing professional assessment,
direct therapeutic work, and consultation.
Our specialist healthcare and educational input is included within
our weekly fees. This means that there are no hidden extras to throw
your budgets out - just genuine value for money.
Whilst Young Foundations is a bright young service, it draws on
the knowledge and infrastructure of a long established provider
in parent company, Castlebeck. To learn more about Castlebeck, click
