Each young person has their own individual
plan created with the multi-disciplinary team, relevant external
agencies, the young person and those with parental responsibility
(when appropriate).
Young Foundations believes that young people should not suffer
from the symptoms of their problems; they should learn through their
experience of positive achievement. An individual's behaviour does
not preclude them from any activity.
Pastoral, social, domestic skills education and emotional care
delivered by Young Foundations professionals blend well with community
access and inclusion. A timetabled structure incorporates 24 hours
of education for each individual a week combined with activities
such as football, swimming, running and fell walking. These activities
support the national strategy of 'Fit for the Future' (sponsored
by the NHS and Sport England) and Young Foundations' belief in 'Healthy
Mind, Healthy Body'.
