The assessment of each young person placed
into the service is multi-faceted. Alongside the utilisation of
the skills and experience of staff from a number of disciplines,
a range of assessment instruments are used, depending on the individual
need, presenting strength and difficulties of each young person.
Appropriate assessment tools are used where, for example, attention
and hyperactivity are a problem, or where there are concerns about
a young person's mood with the presence of possible depression.
Assessment helps to accurately establish the level of functioning
of each young individual and detect any developmental disorders.
All assessment tools used are clinically validated and are appropriate
to the profiles of the young people in our care.
